Process Integration Ltd (PIL), led by Robin Smith, at the Centre of Process Integration at Manchester University focus on developing advanced techniques to improve energy recovery and increase process yields. The company aim to identify cost and efficiency improvements in the process industry - from refining to pharmaceuticals. For existing processes they focus on the operation and design issues, for new processes they target conceptual design.
