Martin Gough at CHISA 2012August 1, 2012
Martin Gough will be attending the International Congress of Chemical and Process Engineering (CHISA 2012) taking place in Prague, Czech Republic. This year’s event is more prestigious than ever reflecting over 20 years of CHISA and 15 years of the International PRES Conference. This year PRES will focus on Process Integration, Modelling and Optimisation for Energy Saving and will bring together world leaders in process engineering and support young engineers entering and understanding the field of process engineering and research.
The event will be held in Prague from the 25th – 29th of August 2012, and will take place within the Clarion Congress Hotel which is situated in Vysocany. The venue is a 15 minute walk from the historical centre of Prague.
Martin Gough the managing director of CALGAVIN, a technology and solutions company offering thermal solutions and heat exchanger enhancement technology to the process industry. CALGAVIN’s experience, research & collaboration with universities in UK and abroad puts us in a good position to provide solutions needed to support process energy optimisation.
Martin will be presenting a plenary lecture on “Process Heat Transfer enhancement to upgrade performance, throughput and reduced energy use” on 26th August. The paper will comment on the technical opportunities available for a processor to reduce overall energy use, emphasis will particularly be on enhancement technology retrofitted to existing heat exchangers. Case studies will illustrate the wide range of benefits available for low cost, rapid return on investment enhancement opportunities.le
Other plenary lecturers, also focusing on the ‘hot topic’, ‘The Energy Revolution – Threats and Opportunities’ include;
- E. Drioli: Energy, Water and Raw Materials – An Integrated Solution
- G. Kreysa: Chemical Engineering Challenges for a Post-nuclear and Post-fossil Energy Future
- H. Mueller-Steinhagen: Power from the Deserts – From Vision to Reality
Martin will look forward to meeting those of you who are attending the event. For more information please see the official CHISA website.
