VACANCY FOR THERMAL PROCESS ENGINEER

Cal Gavin is a well-established and innovative process engineering and manufacturing company working in the field of heat transfer and energy reduction providing ‘intensification’ technology and solutions to companies throughout the world.

The vacancy is based at our head office in Alcester, Warwickshire, UK

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated engineer to join our engineering and proposal team.  Responsibilities will include:

• Engineering support- design calculations using the latest versions of hiTRAN SP, Aspentech software for new plant designs and upgrading /debottlenecking existing processes employing heat exchange equipment.
• Preparation of technical and commercial proposals for supply of hiTRAN Systems including price estimation. Liaising with customers regarding enquiries and proposals.
• Follow up of proposals with customers to track status and provide ongoing assistance.
• Follow up of completed contracts to collect plant operating data and evaluate benefits.
• Collect and maintain relevant information to keep Cal Gavin project/order data base up to date.
• Processing of plant operating data for use in further development and marketing
• Creation and delivery of technical papers or presentation material for marketing purposes

Opportunities for involvement in other areas of the company’s such as research & development, marketing, overseas travel may also be available in the future.

Candidates must be legally entitled to work and live within the UK, preferably also holding a valid UK passport as overseas travel may be required in the future
