Can HiTRAN®
Thermal Systems be applied to U-Tubes?
A. It is
possible to fit HiTRAN®
Thermal Systems into U – Tube Exchangers. The installation
method differs since the matrix elements have to be push fitted
(instead of being pulled into place.) This necessitates that the
elements have a looser fit. Also, one leg of each tube will have
the element fitted in the opposite direction. These factors are
taken into account when our engineers carry out their performance
calculations.

Does the HiTRAN®
Thermal System move in the tube during operation?
A. No.
