Once the optimum Tube insert
for the specific duty / exchanger is calculated using the hiTRAN
calculator form, the results can be displayed and saved in
hiTRAN.SP. In pic. 1 a screenshot of this result page is
displayed, please note the hiTRAN Part No. at the bottom of the
screenshot. This part number uniquely identifies the hiTRAN
turbulator geometry suitable to achieve the required heat transfer
and pressure drop performance for the specified process conditions
for the given bundle geometry.

information.
In the
case of the program calculating an aircooler design in interactive
mode, additional Output options are available:
A)
Interactive mode with ACOL (HTFS Aspentech)
It is possible to display the so-called "Brief Output" in
hiTRAN.SP, and also the Lineprinter output. In Version 1.1.2 and
higher of hiTRAN.SP, those outputs contain all the values which
are effected by introducing hiTRAN tube inserts.

A) Interactive mode with Xace (HTRI)
Once the hiTRAN design is calculated running Xist in the
background, the results can be seen via the GUI (Graphical User
Interface) of HTRI Xchanger suite. Pic 3 Illustrates how this
works.

Pic. 3: Screenshot "Brief Output" from ACOL displayed in
hiTRAN.SP result page All
output options can be accessed via the HTRI-GUI in hiTRAN.SP. For
example this enables the user to check the impact of enhanced heat
transfer on wall temperatures (Tubeside Monitor).
